Nan has facilitated wonderful Art Playshops for Kids and Grownups at my store in the Kingston Rondout during our summer Night Markets and annual Sinterklaas celebration. She creates a fun and comfortable atmosphere where people of all ages and skill levels are inspired to create beautiful artwork under her gentle guidance. She is a fantastic artist and teacher, and a joy to be around!

I facilitate a women's creativity support group and I see clients individually. In a session with me creative art therapy techniques are used along with mind-body stress management and other modalities as needed. I specialize in creative blocks, women's issues, and helping parents and children who learn differently. My humanistic, heart-centered and transpersonal approach guides you on your journey to well-being.

Nancy has been working with my son in one on one art therapy for the past year. Although he is a perfectionist and easily frustrated, he has completed each lesson with her encouragement. I've been astonished by the quality of his work. The half hour lessons that he had in public school were never enough to get him to open up. He says, 'Nancy is the best art teacher I've ever had. It's not that she shows me things I never imagined, she helps me to get my imagination out.

This is from a kid who completed one painting in two years of kindergarten. The other day at the kitchen table, he said 'I think I'd like to doodle for a while,' and I nearly fell over. I had to call Nancy and thank her, because I knew she would understand what a change this represented for my son. Not huge to the outside eye, but so good for him to have other ways of expressing himself.
